Bucharest by private jet

Estimated flight time from Paris : 2h30

With more than 3 million inhabitants, Bucharest is the largest city in Romania. Because of its long history, the city is a blend of styles. Walking through its streets exposes you to a myriad of buildings coexisting in the same space.

Bucharest breathes history, and every visit is a journey into the secrets of its unique charm. You’ll find bourgeois palaces that recall the city’s period of greatest splendor, despite its current decadent appearance, as well as massive communist block constructions whose walls hold the darkest chapters of its past. Don’t wait any longer—come and discover the industrial, commercial, and cultural heart of the country!

The Curtea Veche Palace is one of the oldest sites to visit in Bucharest, bearing witness to the city’s medieval past. Most of these landmarks are located in the Lipscani district. Many of the medieval buildings suffered from wars and time, leading to their disappearance but also to the emergence of new ones.
You should also stroll along Kisseleff Avenue, one of the city’s most popular tourist spots. It has often been compared to “the Champs-Élysées of Bucharest” and even features its own Arc de Triomphe. A pleasant walk and a coffee break on one of the terraces can be a great way to relax before continuing your tour.
Victory Avenue, on the other hand, is Bucharest’s most important and oldest artery. It runs from the historic center to Victory Square. The setting for many novels throughout history, the street evolved to become the first in the city to be lit (by candles in 1814) and the first to be paved (in 1842). Today, it is the most expensive and exclusive street in Bucharest, home to hotel chains such as Hilton and stores like Gucci or Rolex, which blend uniquely with some decaying buildings to create the contrast that defines the city’s main charm.

Revolution Square is a place of great historical importance, having witnessed some of the most significant events that shaped Bucharest’s past, present, and future. In the center of the square stands a 25-meter-tall obelisk, known locally as “the potato,” erected in memory of the victims who lost their lives during the Revolution. Revolution Square may not be a tourist attraction per se, but it is definitely worth a visit.

For art lovers, Romania’s capital is one of the main artistic centers of Central Europe. Numerous museums and galleries deserve a spot on your list of places to visit. The National Museum of Art, the National Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Zambaccian Museum house important works by artists such as Picasso, Monet, Cézanne, and Matisse. If you can, don’t miss one of the performances by the city’s Philharmonic Orchestra.
