Asturias by private jet

Estimated flight time from Paris : 1h30

This autonomous Spanish community is known as a green paradise. Within its landscapes—both wild and peaceful—lie historic and natural treasures. From the rocky beaches of the Atlantic coast to small stone villages nestled in the mountains, Asturias is authentic and breathtakingly beautiful.

Exploring the Asturian coastline offers unforgettable views and hikes, where the mountains seem to plunge into the sea. Along this preserved eastern coast, dominated by the Cantabrian mountain range, you’ll find wild cliffs and more than 200 beaches of great variety. Over 345 kilometers of coastline await, offering endless opportunities for exploration and immersion in nature. With its jagged rocks plunging into the Atlantic, the coastline often resembles that of Brittany.

More secluded and harder to access, the small beach of El Silencio is a haven of peace nestled within a sandy cove surrounded by emerald-green, translucent waters. On the western coast, near Tapia de Casariego, picturesque fishing villages dot the shoreline. The atmosphere here is serene, the air filled with the scent of seafood, and the winding streets invite leisurely strolls.

Water sports are available all along the coast, from surfing and fishing to sea kayaking and boat trips. Mountain lovers will also find their bliss, with an incredible variety of outdoor activities: hiking, climbing, caving, canyoning, cycling, and horseback riding. Among the most spectacular sites are the Picos de Europa, a national park and UNESCO biosphere reserve. Their contrasting terrain—towering peaks, deep gorges, and dramatic canyons—is simply awe-inspiring.

The capital, Oviedo, showcases fine examples of Asturian pre-Romanesque art. Several sites are UNESCO World Heritage-listed: the Foncalada, a medieval hydraulic structure; the churches of Santa María del Naranco and San Julián de los Prados; and the Cámara Santa within the San Salvador Cathedral.
In the charming old town, with its picturesque pedestrian streets, you’ll find the Museum of Fine Arts housed in the elegant Velarde Palace and the Casa de los Oviedo-Portal. Oviedo’s historic center is rich in heritage and perfect for wandering, with the magnificent San Salvador Cathedral as its crown jewel.
